Border collie, Archie and his mum, enjoy playing ball during their photo session in the Dog Days of Summer with Sydney pet photographer, Pawtastic Photography

How would you describe your relationship with your dog?

Loving and kind. A perfectly timed match. We came into each other's lives at the right time.

What do you love most about your dog?

His love and loyalty. His playfulness but also how smart he is.

Tell me about your dog.

I adopted Archie after he was surrendered to my work, needing surgery and a new home. He was only 7 months old at this stage and my previous border collie passed away earlier in the year. I was starting to come around to the idea of another dog, and my other dog Diego was depressed without a friend anymore. So I gave Archie his new and forever home. Archie and Diego are the best of friends and Archie brings me so much love and happiness every day.

Thank you Emily + Archie for taking part in the Dog Days of Summer!
