What does Summer mean to you both?
Summer time means romping through the puppy paddling pool at Sydney Park and skipping across the stepping stones at the wetlands. It's also spending days at the beach, frolicking through sand and sea, before going home and munching on some watermelon!
What are your favourite things to do with together?
Space and I love playing fetch, going for walks in Erskineville park and hanging out with our friends (both furry and human), and cuddling together on the couch and watching TV. I've recently discovered that Space also loves cuddling up to me in bed and falling asleep to the sound of my voice.
How would you describe your relationship with your dog?
Loving! Space keeps me grounded and happy, encouraging me to get out of the house and see the world whenever I'm feeling down. In return, I rub his belly and ears, and do everything to let him know that he is loved and safe.
What do you most love about Space?
I love how caring he is. Everyone who meets Space always comments on how happy he is, how friendly he is and how he's so good around people and other dogs.
That doesn't even begin to cover it though. When I'm feeling sick, Space will nuzzle up to me and tuck a nose under my arm. One time, my partner took Space for a walk. I forgot something and yelled Space's name - he heard me from two streets away and came running! I couldn't ask for a more loyal or loving friend.
